Five words a day, read aloud and getting harder each time. You hear them; you spell them.
One wrong letter and the day is over. Two minute time limit per word.
Every hint is spoken: Definition, used in a sentence, language of origin, and part of speech.
How scoring works
+200for every word you spell correctly, up to 1,000.
+ timefor each correct word you bank the seconds left on its 2:00 clock. Faster answers score more.
−25per hint used. Hearing or replaying the word itself is free.
Example: clear all five at about 15 seconds each (β525 banked) using 2 hints β 1,000 + 525 β 50 = 1,475. A flawless, instant, no-hint run tops out near 1,600.
